Iam lucky to get a call once a week and 4 on the weekends that's if the phones don't go down!

My fiance is looking at a possible sentence that only allows two ten minute calls a month!!! The time is reduced, but I'm worried sick about how we'll get through that. :(

Angela oh my! I am sorry to hear that dear. I will pray for you guys. My love gets 30 minutes and he can keep hanging up and calling back but it charges $4 each time. Hopefully you can write each other often and visit often? Suchaslife are your calls expensive?

If he gets the lesser sentence, the visits are twice a month. He will be over 6 hours from me if he goes there. I don't know yet what's coming, but this is a possibility.
I write every day and so does he.

The calls are expensive if he calls my cell phone they charge a $1.50 or something like that a minute there a bit cheaper on the landline but not much coz he has to call long distance. We only get 15 minutes per call less if there phone stop working in the call and yes that has happened.

My guy hasn't been sentenced yet, and I'm not sure what to expect when he goes to federal prison. Right now while he's in county, he can call me as much as he wants, anytime he wants. It costs $4.00 for a 15 minute call. I feel very fortunate and blessed that his mom pays for all of his phone time, and his commissary. She knows that I can't afford to put money onto his phone account and she wants us to be able to talk everyday. She is such a wonderful lady. I can't wait to call her my mother-in-law.
At the prison that he'll be going to (or, hope that he's going to), I've heard that they allow 300 minutes per month. Not sure how much they charge though. And that's for minimum security.

Suchaslife and angela, I'm sorry that you get such little time to talk to your loved ones. I'm not looking forward to when Jordan goes on his way to prison. He says that he won't be able to call while he's traveling, obviously, but then it could take 2-3 weeks for me to be approved to be one of his contacts. That's gonna be a hellish 3 weeks. I don't know how I'm gonna deal with that.

Luckily, for me, I get to talk to my husband every day before I go to work, and then a several times on the weekends.

It's ok jellyfish. Kinda used to it now you are lucky that his mum is helping so much. I've only got a set amount of $140 that I can put on his books for him from that his gotta pay for calls his canteen stuff.
Just don't ask how much this has cost us!
When they can't call that's when you write more he will get them at some stage.
