I live four miles from where Jayme Closs was kidnapped and her parents were murdered.
She escaped the other day. Three months with a mad man!
I was so drawn to the case. Because I drive past where she lived every day, because I knew her dad that was shot to death and two other haunting things.
The awful guy who did this worked for two days right down the highway from my house. He would of drove past my house 4 times. He chose her randomly by seeing her get off the school bus.
The same bus stops and drops my neighbors kids off right in front of my house.
The town he held her captive in was Gordon, Wisconsin. The town where my fiance was incarcerated in almost three years ago.
I know the town. I know how desolate the roads are there.
I also remember how nice the people of the town were to me.
A 13 year old girl kidnapped, threatened and forced to stay under a twin bed several times a day.
She got the courage to escape when he left. No jacket, gloves and his shoes on the wrong feet. She had to be so scared.
Luckily a lady walking her dog appeared. She asked for help. Luck wae finally with Jayme finding the lady. Her kidnapper had come back and was out searching for her. He would of tortured her or killed her.
In court he showed no remorse. He had confessed to everything almost proud.
He will never be free again.
I'm sure most of you have heard all about it.
I saw the search parties and cops everywhere for weeks. I heard helicopters searching for her.
For a change I do think that the cops did what needed to be done and no doubt in anyone's mind, the awful guy who did this deserves anything that happens to him!
I imagine after she had grieved and was petrified, she got angry. And when he left her under the bed for hours she planned how to escape.
It might of been what kept her sane.
It's just eerie going past her house, knowing what happened there.
We heard that someone from the area bought the house and is going to have it torn down so when Jayme drives past it, she doesn't have to relive everything that happened there.
