He called today while I was at work. It was great to hear from him. I guess the lines are really long for phone calls, especially on the weekends.. I have to have more patience. He does try to keep in contact with me. He hates the phone but he does it because I asked him to call me every week. Its the little things like hearing his voice that just make my day better. He sounded a little down today. Its been about a month that he's been there now. I miss him so much. I wish there were more that I could do for him in a faster way. I'm here for him and I'm waiting for him. I love him to pieces. He's the best thing in my world, besides my three kids. My dumb ex found out my man is in jail. He called to rub that in my face tonight. He's a retched man. Horrible. He also found out about my legal issues that I'm dealing with. Just what I need. When it rains, it definitely pours. I have to get a lawyer for me and for him and be able to pay my house bills too. Its so much going on at once. I broke down and asked my parents if they could help in any way tonight. I don't know if they will yet but if they do, that will be a little less stress on me... I also texted my man's family and asked if they would be willing to put in any money for the lawyer fee... they will get back to me... I can't do all this alone... I need just a little help.. None of my selling ideas are working as fast as I want them to. I just wish there were another way to do this... I love him and I miss him so much it hurts some days... I've felt down all day. I just want to hug him and kiss him until I can't breathe... I miss the feel of him holding me and hugging me... The smell of him next to me.. The love that I feel isn't going anywhyere but I cry for him every day... Maybe its my way of hurting and letting it be known ... I hope for better days soon... thanks for listening...

the first thing you need to do is make time for you... you are going to make yourself sick( I did this) because you are stressing so much about getting everything done this second I know you want him out but he needs you healthy because in the event things don't go your way you will need to be strong for him & your kids. what you need to do is sit down with his family,whoever else(would help financially) and figure out how much they can put in for the lawyer & find a lawyer together...your bf needs to help too at least where my guy is they have a law library where my guy has done research but you can't do this all on your own and I think you need to tell your bf if they have a law library there do some research or ask some other inmates,caseworkers...another thing you could try & do is get a loan or use a credit card for a lawyer

As much as you want to be there for him, don't be yourself up when you miss his calls. It is still very early for him to become accustomed to the atmosphere of being locked up. But he should be getting used to it. As for you, I think you should focus on one thing at a time. Being stressed out will only make you feel worse and telling him about every little thing wont help either. I believe that if you can show support and encouragement with your words and love him he would be ok and you have to accept that you can only do so much. You want to be superwoman but you are only one woman. Take time and be strong and be encouraged.

You are doing what I did at first. And it isn't helping anything. You need to find a way to relax a bit. I found that every time I worried about WHY he hadn't called, there was a really good explanation, and usually something pretty simple. Nothing bad had happened.

I know you miss him, but as these ladies are telling you, you have to find something that keeps your mind busier. Even if it's a little time you are distracted. You are going to make yourself sick, and make the time go faster. Believe us, we know. We have been there, done that, but found ways to cope. You can too. You won't believe that now, but you can.
