The consultant emailed me a copy of the docs that are being sent to the judge and warden for my brother's request for early release to the halfway house because of The Second Chance Act. It looks so good, reading it, I don't know how anyone in their right mind will not send him to the halfway house sooner, He could go there as soon as 2-14-2013, but the consultant said not to get my hopes up, between April and June is realistic. Crossing my fingers and toes that this will get him home!!!
The consultant also informed me that he will be there to assist my brother with any questions he has on how to complete probation, and get that reduced too.
After seeing what the consultant has done, I think it was worth the $$$ i had to pay that I could not really afford.
He was sentenced on 12--12-11, so it would be really nice to get some good news in the month of December to take that sad feeling away.
He is really hating that MN winter and is really regretting going back there. Maybe I can make him a snowbird in Alabama when all of this is done!!!

Coffee, a consultant is someone I found after my brother went in to do his sentence. They do the paperwork and submit it to get a person released early to a halfway house or house arrest using programs they qualify for. My brother is in for conspiracy to commit wire fraud with no criminal history, so he qualifies for "the second chance act." When he went in, we knew this, but thought if he did the classes, stayed out of trouble, etc, they would see he qualified and release him there. Well, they don't, so after his 6 month meeting and we knew that we needed help, I found this site, jailtime consulting and talked to him. He gathers all the info on the sentence and case and than does the paperwork to submit to the judge and the warden on my brother's behalf.
Apparently you can do this on your own, but it is something that if you do it wrong, you can cause more harm than good, so i decided to hire him. I think most consultants or all are for Federal cases from what I read online.
