This community is dedicated to families that have been disrupted by prison. Having a loved one incarcerated or having been incarcerated comes with its own unique challenges that require support and understanding. Just so you know it took me about 6 months to get where you are now. But heres the thing you guys have been here before so you know how the system works and you know his ok i think that might be why your ok. As for when he comes home well i think you might be ok it might take a week or two for you to adjust back just take it a day at a time and this might sound crazy but make him go to the doctor if he needs pain meds that way the doctor can do a note for his po so they know his taken some pain meds....yes its a pain in the butt but if he doesn't want this to happen again its what he will have to do!
Right now you're a busy mama. Stay busy. You have 3 boys that depend on you. Don't feel guilty for not feeling sad. I think you're adjusting very well and have accepted his absence.
And, after given some time to adjust, you'll be fine when he comes home too.
