Families of Prisoners Support Group
This community is dedicated to families that have been disrupted by prison. Having a loved one incarcerated or having been incarcerated comes with its own unique challenges that require support and understanding. Join the group to find others who know what you're going through, and to seek advice or share your experience.
I have a couple of friends here already from other groups. I wanted to join this group because I have been on the other side of the fence so to speak and have seen how unfairly accused and incarcerated people are sometimes treated. I especially have an interest in people that have been wrongly accused and convicted or have taken a plea deals thinking that life would be easier only to find out that is just not the case. I dont know what exactly I can offer to this group but I would like to try and help where I can.
As my current avatar states I realize just how easy it would be to find myself in a situation as you all and your families have found yourselves. All that has to happen some times is to just be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Innocent until proven guilty is really not the truth. If some one accuses you of something you had better find a very good attorney or you will find yourself in prison.

Glad you joined. Just for everyones peace of mind and information I do think you should mention your time as a cop and reserve sherriffs dept. So there may be certain questions you may know the answer but we have to guess if we are seeing things from their side...you know?
Sometimes I seriously wonder if they take classes to be so unreasonable. LOL! Intimidation classes for sure!
Like today they came and warned my son because I had mentioned that the bathroom in the visiting area was cold..no water hardly at all coming out so I went out into the other area like I have a few times before...well you can't do that anymore and I was just stating to him over the phone why I even went out to the other one. Well they came and warned him about downgrading the facility. Put us right back in line quick. Inside I was ticked because they ruined our visit. Made us soooo aware of where we were...first time in a long time we were that comfortable...they tried to take that away...reminding us that they have to power for us to see our son...ever or never...did not sit real well...but I didn't let on how bent and sick to my stomach the whole incident made me...

Glad you went ahead and joined the group...this is one of the people I told you all about that was wanting to try somehow to help us or those wrongfully accused,something
anything...just try to help.A few months back....one of my friends from another group.
