It sounds like his already got a hunny to do list for you? Try do one thing off that list for him it will help you and him.
I laughed when I saw you have a to do list too. OMG mine constantly had one for me. Call people, look something up, order catalogs, send pictures, send this, send that.... OMG I thought it would never end, but I did them all because he couldn't. I think they think they are keeping us busy to help us.
I never minded except when I was working and had less hours to do things for him. BUT then he had me doing things for other guys, ridiculous amounts of things for them. Claimed they had no one out there. Then it got to the extreme with one guy. Do not get into that trap. These guys see that you are being wonderful to yours, so they are jealous and start doing the bleeding heart routine, pleading for favors too. It gets so excessive you start to fight over if you will do it or not.
Stick to just helping him, and that's all. No calls to guy's gf's, wives, mothers, etc... it just leads to more.
Beware this does happen. Just do his stuff, no one else's.
Mostly I never minded doing things for him, but the excessive amounts of calls to guys family and women, and other things did cause problems. God I hated when he asked. I could tell in his voice, he was about to ask. He sounded SCARED.. haha
My daughter has one of those fancy coffee pots. Hers you have individual things for each cup of coffee. I want a whole damn pot to drink all morning, not just a cup at a time. First she gave me the expensive brand coffee, then when she saw I wanted more than one cup I got folgers.
You gotta realize the first few weeks are hell. You are completely blown away by what happened, by missing him, and all the scary and frustrating things to go through at first. The not knowing anything, etc. It doesn't necessarily get BETTER, but it does get somewhat easier if you start living like YOU have a life too. He would want that. It took me forever to get to that point though. Yes, we feel guilty about them being there, etc. But in my guys case, he knew it was a possibility if he didn't stop driving drunk, and he just wouldn't. Then I wanted to drive, that fateful night but NOOOOOO, and then he has to slam down a beer, IN the car, and bam, we get pulled over. That was it. 3 years, 2 months, and 19 days for that. He actually had only a .04 alcohol content, and a 0 one hour later at the jail. But on probation, you cannot have anything over a .02... I think a point 02 happens when you sniff a drink as you walk past one.
Anyway, time to go pick him up from his 12 hour day at work. He is actually enjoying it after being in prison so long. He feels human again. His first thing he noticed that made him human as he calls it is he got his own cell phone again. Life's simple pleasures we just take forgranted.
Have a wonderful evening everyone. Gotta fly.
