Coping with innocent husband in prison

Hello, my husband was acussed of molesting some one when he was the age of 10.... and yes i was to make that clear i just said 10 years old. we have been going through all of this for over a year and three months ago he accepted a plea (because they wouldnt move the case to juvinal court) even though he never even did anything. now the judge gave him 4 years off of her saying it happened. that is is, i have seen everything there is to see and heck i was in the court room everytime and all it is, is her saying it happened. he even has to register now... so to say the least it has been such a rough few months and to make matters worse the day after he go arrested again i had a miscarriage. i just really need some advice with getting through all of this. he is my best friend nd i hate this all i really do but i know i cant help him if im all sad as well.

Hugs you're not alone.

I hate the laws around sex offenses its to easy to make up stories and land someone in it. My man is innocent as well we are waiting for the police to call so can register for this year.
Keep writing to him take his calls if you can and go see him this group will help you and so will families of so's.

It really is hard. I’ve never felt so alone in my entire life. All of my family is super supportive and everything but I just feel so empty.

Suchaslife that is so true!! Meg1015, any loss causes grief, not just death. And losing the person you love to the prison system can be worse than death in some ways. Your life is now in limbo as you wait for their return, you have to deal with the stigma of not only loving a convict but also a SO. And to suffer through a miscarriage in the middle of it just breaks my heart for you. A miscarriage can be absolutely devastating in the best of circumstances and people can be unintentionally cruel by saying things like you can always have another one, or it’s probably for the best because there might have been something wrong with it. Allow yourself to grieve for your child. I find it helps if you name him/her and I received a small bear with the birthstone of the month I miscarried as that was my child’s “birth month”. They were just both born into heaven instead of down here. And on top of everything else, your body is dealing with hormones from the pregnancy that make you more emotional than normal. We are all here to help and encourage you in any way we can.

stilllovehim thank you! I have honestly felt just so alone in all of this. I really felt like I was the only one but joining on here has really made me feel like im not alone in all of this. it really has been so hard and when I try to talk to people about it, they really dont understand what its like loosing. it is like your husband passing away yet still getting to see him certain times. its rough...

You definitely not alone , my bf past came to hunt, something that happened 14 yrs ago , the child was 5 at the time and denied everything, now she is 19 and because he tried to step up as a responsible parent she used the incident from 14 yrs ago to prevent him to get his son’s custody , which all 4 kids still in foster care , were taken from the mother. So one week trial for allegedly touching for “5 min” ( and tell me that a 5 yr old child knows how long 5 min is) no physical evidence , no witnesses and he got 6 yrs and has to register. I’ve been seeing him for 2 month twice a week and yesterday he was transferred to prison and I still don’t know where he is...He is the mos wonderful man and father to his autistic son.

I feel for you and I offer my condolences for the baby you lost. I’m here if you ever need anything, I’m heartbroken but can give support .

I am new to this site and am in similar position with son. He has been convicted and is awaiting sentence for a sex offence that he didn't commit. We have had three trials and each time this girl has added more and more to her story as has her friends. He could be facing a very long sentence. he has his whole life ahead of him, has finished university, in a long term relationship. I am still in shock, I have got through last few weeks in a daze, getting up going to work and coming home. Have coped with visits until now and today just broke my heart. I feel for you so much having lost a baby. I don't know how people cope so little support out there.

Prayers to you and your love!!! I know all youre gonna wanna do is take care of him but please please PLEASE take care of yourself!!! We all are a community that understands each other and ive learned through loving an inmate that if you dont take care of yourself you cannot take care of them!
