Here's my dilemma. My daughter met another girl while she was being held in county. When my daughter was transferred this girl phoned me to let me know. Somehow the girl tracked down my daughter's location and wrote her a letter. My daughter writes this girl back but she mailed it to me and asked me to mail it to the girl in county. Yesterday i completed a visitor application which asked if I communicate with any other prisoners.
My daughters letter included a lot of trash talk which did not make me feel good in the first place.
I finally gathered the courage to email her to day and say I was not going to send it. She is pissed off now and tried to guilt me for not at least telling this girl why she can't contact her again. She admitted to me that she was told in orientation that she is not allowed to talk to other felons. I know she is frustrated.
Do you think I should just drop it and let her get over it? Could it jeopardizes my visitation if I drop this girl a note letting her know they can no longer communicate?

your daughter will get over it....or she could try to send a letter to her friend, herself. in ohio, inmates can write one another....it sounds like where you are, that might be different. it sounds like the letter itself isn't worth sending anyway, if she's not pleasant.
there's always the option that if this girl doesn't get a response from your daughter, she may call you, since she has her number. if that happens, you can tell her at that point that they cannot communicate.
that's just how I'd handle it anyway. good luck
