I think he must have done something. I was raised by a convict and trust me he was no angel...lol. Sometimes it's just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, being picked up by ICE or keeping the wrong kind of company.

It's unfortunate that sometimes the least copable get charged just as hard as the truly guilty.

Just found out some info not sure how bad it is but im hanging in there today i woke up flashing back to memories it is hard.

Umm gutted some guys do go to prison and charged for stuff they didn't do. My man is one and yes ive read all the information and there was no evidence so please don't think that every guy has done stuff! I can at least 3 other guys that did time with my man who didn't do the crime they did time for.

@crowgoddess talk to social services they might be able to help with finding a job also look at doing volunteer work believe it or not doing that sort of work can help you to get a job. Just be aware that the justice system (eye roll) takes its sweet time to do anything its totally frustrating.

Suchaslife, I know a percentage are innocent or there wouldn't be the need for organizations like the innocence project. It's a real shame when that happens but one thing my dad was careful about drilling into me that most people in jail have committed the crime they were charged of.

Rather than innocent people getting convicted, I'm more worried about the unequal sentencing that sometimes take place and people getting life for being caught with an ounce of cocaine or having three strikes out (don't think that still happens but a lot of people are still in jail over it). I also worry about inhumane conditions, particularly during weather emergencies, the lack of mental health care, prisoner safety and some people getting forgotten behind bars.

In my opinion, we all make mistakes and do dumb things, particularly when we're messed up. Human beings do not deserve to be thrown away by society or their loved ones. It's great to see so many people here sharing ideas on how to better support their loved ones and get through this terrible time in their lives. A man does not have to be totally innocent to earn my respect, he just needs to own to his mistakes and make a genuine effort to do better.

I'm sorry you guy is enduring a prison sentence for a crime he did not commit. That's all kinds of messed up.

Praying for you all. We are all suffering from a love one being locked away, especially for crimes they did not commit . We have to hold onto our faith as God can make miracles happen... I'm going on 4 months without my husband... This is the hardest shit I've ever had to endure... My husband has been keeping busy by taking a lot of classes and going through church services. We pray together and individually. Let's keep each other in prayer and hopes we can get them back soon.

Im heading up to my family for a few days for thanksgiving and gonna do some church community service to keep my mind off all this sucks i will be 9 hrs away from him but me and the kids are gonna send him letters so he can have thwm when we are gone i hope it helps him cause. Its lonely there but its depressing sitting in our home and seeing all his things like he is goingnto walknthrough the door any time. I feel the same way! This year will be my first Thanskgiving , Christmas and New Year without my husband. My heart breaks every time I come home and he is not there. his stuff is on the same place where he left it, I smell his colonge and sometimes I feel his presence in our home. I can only pray and pray in hopes things get better. Will def kept you all in my prayers.
