It was supposed to be today, but we all know how that goes...
Tomorrow our attorney is meeting with the judge to discuss a plea.
I hope and pray the judge is merciful. We've both heard that he's a tough judge, so I'm afraid, but I'm trying to stay positive.
Please say a little prayer for us. Thank you.

Less than good news- the judge is seeking the maximum, 2 1/3 - 7. I'm trying to wrap my mind around it. How do I know how long he will actually serve???

So sorry. I don't know alot about all this but from my experience and on our state it seems to be violent crime served 85% of their sentence and non violent is 50% and even then they can go and take classes or enroll in programs within the priso to lessen that time more. Hopefully they will give him time served so that all this time he is doing now will count as well.

I'm pretty sure it depends on what state you're in. In my fiancee's case, if he is sentenced to 2 years for his non-violent crime like we think will happen, he'll have to do 60% of that time, which is about 14 and a half months. Take away the 5 months he's already done, and that leaves 9 months...which means he'll be back with me by February of next year. Plus like Cantwait said, there are programs that he can get into to take even more time off.

I'm sorry the news today wasn't what you were hoping for :( I know we were all hoping for better news from you. Stay positive and strong.
