Unfortunately no matter what their zodiac sign is (mine's a Leo) all men seem to have some sort of issue with opening up 100%. I think it stems from growing up men are told if they're sensitive they're "soft" a "sissy" or a "p***y." Communication is definitely important in all relationships, especially with our men being locked up.

Have you tried writing it in a letter instead of on the phone? Like mine won't get all super mushy/sexy on the phone but he does in letters. I don't either, well that's because I'm always drooling as he's talking lol!

He's definitely got to start opening up or it's not going to be good for the relationship. Just be patient and not expect him to lay it all out on the table all at once, baby steps are ok IMHO.

Message me......The most important is communication, if you don't have that nothing is going to end up out of it thats good. My husband used to be not very communicative.... but i changed that with him. He is great at that now. try keeping a journal maybe as well... se what u both need to work on, write what questions you have for him... maybe even ask him how he feels about both of you being together and what can u both work on together to make things better, or you can ask him what he wants out of this relationship and then figure out how to get their being apart its not easy but possible we did ... anyone can do it, but many don't make it. It comes down to two people at the end... if both want to make it will it will work, if only one is trying then it won't work. regardless i am here for you if u need to talk.

A lot of people have a hard time communicating or expressing their feelings and its probably even harder for him now. I agree with shenshinka, try writing him a letter with some questions you have for him. Included in that letter maybe how you feel, then followed by a question, and in the end ask if he could write a letter back to you in response to all of this. Sometimes guys need to be directed in conversation or asked these things because they simply don't think to talk about it. Or assume you already know what he is thinking. So try prompting him and see if that helps him express to you how he is feeling.

Ok i was going to leave this but i cant. Theres something you guys need to know....the guys most likely wont show emotions when there on the phone like being upset crying, or talk about them coz it taken as a sine of weakness by the other prisoners and can make them a target. The guys are not trying to be mean but just trying to keep it together. So having said that your best way to talk about the emotions is by letters.
Please remember they have no privacy on the phone they probably have 20 other guys in a line behind them who are all listing in especially if the guy is new! So stick to the day to day stuff.....yes if its something important tell them but don't expect a big emotional response i had to tell my man about mums breast cancer, my dad getting sick and a heap of other stuff he only ever asked if they where ok he saved the emotional stuff for letters.
Now iam probably going get blasted for what i just said but you all need to know this stuff and iam sorry if i upset anyone.

Oh i forgot to say tell your guys to get rid of the return address that you put on your envelopes by ripping it off and flashing the loo or black it out....better yet have a po box so the mail isn't going to your home.....dont mean to scare you all but its to keep you all safe.
