my B/F had 2 felonys and had a god paying job but he also worked with his uncle

Here in Az you really can't find a job even making min. Wage. We have huge background checks and even credit. My ex husband had a class 6 and has never worked except under the table doing side jobs. Forget child support. Unless he learns a trade that he can do on his own. Plumbing, Flooring, elect., mechanics it maybe hard. My ex even got his rights restored! Can own a fun and vote mcD turned him away for the class 6

Mine has always gotten good jobs after getting out. He contacts the employment service a few months before his out date and informs them of when he will be out, and when he needs a job, and he's always gotten one. In fact he could of started the first week he was out last time, but we chose to go on a vacation first.

There are temp services who get these guys in places. In fact MN and WI give the guys a certificate to give to any employer that hires them, and that employer gets a tax credit of $10,000 for each felon they hire, and there's other incentives these places give. The temp service I am working through hires alot of felons. Don't be disheartened, just check into it.

I can tell you (from owning the bail bonds company) that I see a lot of "felons" get good paying construction jobs. Most around Indiana end up going into business for themselves- start up a lawn care business, start up a roofing business, etc. My son is lucky enough to be able to work for me. Also, our state just passed a law that goes into affect July 1st that allows everyone (except murders and sex offenders) to file and receive an expungement after a period of time so that employers will not see their prior convictions. My son was electrician apprentice and has 2 felonies. That did not stop him from getting this job. Also mechanics don't have to get back ground checks. Hopefully the prison will afford him some skills before returning home. What was his occupation before?

The temp services in our area are posting ads all the time for the company that I ended up working for. They are taking ANYONE. It is a crappy job, and people quit constantly. It is long hours, smelly, with toxic fumes, it has such bad management and morale, but people need jobs so they take it.

We have alot of " felons", and it's so intimidating that the cops come in there every single night, just walking around. They come into the parking lot and take license numbers of cars, run them and find people working there to arrest on probation violations, expired tabs, child support issues, etc. You name it. Just love this company!!! But, they hire anyone. You can make a decent wage, until they lay off, which they do constantly after working us to death to fulfill a contract. It's lovely.
