So didn't go as well as I though this is one of those to times I'm thinking positive then it's not good lol.
First off he was told he wouldn't get down to a level 1 because of a kidnapping charge (shouldn't even of had That charge) but murders can get to a level one? Hmm another stupid part of our justice system.

Second of all they want him to sign a legal paper saying he doesn't have a high school diploma or GED so he can take GED classes. Yet he has a high school diploma he has told them that. Then they have in the system he attended high school at a place he never went to school. He has turned in papers to get a copy of his diploma but I don't think the lady is sending the information In and they won't let me just send the copy... So frustrating! So he is trying to figure out a way to get his diploma because if he doesn't sign that paper he can potentially lose his good time if he does sign the paper then he can get charged with falsifying stuff so that's where things are at.

:( sorry things didn't go as well as you'd hoped. Hanging at a level 2 isn't that bad. Here, there isn't much difference between a 2 and a 1....so as long as you're below a 3, you're set.
If I were in your guy's shoes, I'd be writing a letter a week to the school until they take notice and actually send him his transcript/diploma. In time, they'll get sick of him, and comply.

Thanks. Ya the only thing about the level 1 is he could possibly move much closer to home but that's not the end of the world. Yes he said they finally got a new education person that might be able to help out and I told him if he could get me am address I will go to the school myself with an address and stamped envelope and get what he needs and mail it myself. He said he was going to ask but think its a chain of paperwork that the state has to request but was going to check. It definitely wasn't the worst news ever but of course I was hoping for more positive news

Do they do that review with each inmate in prison,if someone can tell me a little bit about it

I think they do but it may not be every six months it may be yearly etc. if you read riveratarshines response to my original post it's exactly what they reviewed with my guy this morning.

So they have all their facts all mixed up. I would definitely start doing the legwork to help get the right stuff for him, and see if you can get it sent to HIM, or to you, and then you go to his caseworker, or send it to them. I would send it where you get a receipt that they received it, if that's possible.

I have sent for things like my fiance's birth certificate, then made copies to know we had it, and then sent it to him, and he gave it to them. His caseworker was pretty good about finding things out for him that he couldn't, also.

They make everything so difficult. I know it's a hassle, and stressful, but it will get all weeded through and figured out in time. TIME that's the ugly word, right.
