Hello everyone, I am amazed by everyone's strength here! I have been reading the discussions debating if I should join or not but here I am. I don't have anyone to talk to about my situation so I am glad to be here and glad to be able have people to talk to and discuss things that only we can understand. I am 24 and my boyfriend is in prison 6 hrs away from. We have a 6 year old together and our relationship has been off and on since I was 13!! He will be in until March of 2015 and has been in since Aug. of 2012 so I am glad to now have people to talk to as I have been doing this for the past 2 years on my own. Hope everyone is doing great

it's sad that you had to find us....but we're a good group to find. we all understand and really try to help each other. Don't be a stranger...if you ever need to talk, give us a shout!

I'm not always sunshine and rainbows. I've been a sickling lately- grumpy tiffy's been coming out to play a lot. lol I try to keep positive though. I learned a long time ago that being negative wouldn't get me through these 16 years.

Very true! And everyone here has to have positivity in their life to make it through these difficult times! I have so muh respect for you 16 years is a long time! So happy to see that you are sticking by him he is a lucky man!

Welcome, this is a wonderful group to be a part of! You will find strength here. My husband is 5 1/2 hours away from home and won't be released until July 26th, 2015.

I have met some wonderful people through this forum. And they have answered many, many questions for me.

Feel free to ask anything, we are all here for each other!

Hello and welcome. This is a really good place to be if you feel like you're the only one who feels the way you do- we all understand. My fiance was arrested in Oct and we're still waiting on the outcome. You've been doing this quite a while! Glad to have you here. :)

Yes it can be extremely stressful at times and the waiting is the worst. He was in jail for over 1 YEAR!!!! Prior to getting sentenced it was awful!

Welcome. I am new here too. Right now my boyfriend is being extradited to TN from PA and we don't know what's going to happen. I am always willing to talk.

cantwait, did he get the year in jail applied to his time? If so...that's actually a good thing, because it's already behind you guys. :)

Yes which was such a blessing for sure he was sentenced to 4 years with time served and then is elgible for half. So he spent a year in county and 1.5 years in prison so he gets out march 3 of 2015. So that's been a good thing
