This board sucks: It sucks for the main reason of why we are here!
THAT being said, if it wasn't for ALL of you, your stories, your cheers, your prayers, well, I would feel so lonely.
It's not the 1st ride on the merry go round for me. I KNOW what I have to do. This time is different, before it was a grown man. This time it is my 'baby' although, now I'm learning to seperate the 'baby' to the 'young adult'. THAT is the hard part.
But the more and more I read of the stories on here, the more strength I gain to be the person I once was!
I was FEARLESS! In my 20's I didn't take crap from ANYONE! I had a ton of friends everywhere, I loved a good time, I laughed freely, I enjoyed life like someone left the gate open. I have a God given talent of singing that I cultivated and made a living from. I was blessed to be able to earn a living at what I loved to do most, entertain.
For the past 7 years, my sons climb to addictions, I have found that I only have a couple of good friends left. I don't go out, I don't drink anymore 5-6 years now, don't enjoy it. Don't dance or sing anymore like I use to. Don't have the 'girls' in the neighborhood over anymore for the parties, you know Pampered Chef, etc.....it's like the life is sucked out of me. My hubby (awesome person, love him crazy and soooo fortunate to have him in my life) wants to take me out for dinner and find EVERY excuse NOT to go!
In my 30's I was a single parent, got the chance to live in FL, CO and then back to my town I grew up in, so saw a little bit of the country and did it all on MY OWN, no child support, all on my own. We had fun.
My 40s, well, that is when it all started going down hill......
BUT....today, I woke up, feeling really blue, looking outside and saying there is a WHOLE WORLD out there!
So, I have a hair appt, a therapists visit and now I'm not working so there is alot of changes in the house we are making, painting, new carpets......I'm gonna make the changes needed.
Two years ago today, I lost my Mom to cancer and it was the last time I saw her. My Mom and my Dad where my friends, I loved them, they guided me, gave me the most awesome of childhoods. Yeah we had our 'disfunctions' but the fun outweighed the bad. My Mother gave me my strength. Her brutal honesty would piss people off, it only made me stronger. One day I will see them again (and honestly, lately I was hoping it would be soon but...)but not today, not soon. I have so much living with my hubby to do.
We've had a strained life for the past 6 years with this kid coming in and out of our lives and him being the silent one through it all. NOW that he has seen me put my foot down and that I've had enough, he made a comment 'THAT is the woman I have known all my life and fell in love with'.....I've known him since I was 4, by the way!
So....all this being said, THANK YOU! to this board, to all of your sharing, caring and prayers. I pray every day and keep you all in those prayers.

this place kind of like my slice of heaven,, so greatful also to everyone of you,,, comming here knowing that we all understand,, or touchd by other's stories,, or sometimes realizing life is not so bad on this side,,,
