So my younger son has a beautiful apt. His Landlord saw him one day with the AA book and asked if my son was in recovery. He was honest and said yes. Fast forward and they go to meetings together. Anonomous
Right? He drives my son to work everyday too. Man is about 45. Sons 25.
Last week my sons boss asks my son if he is a heroin addict. Shocked he asks why he is asking. Says his landlord came to tell him my son is an addict. Wtf? I don't ever say not my son as you all know. But this sent me spinning. How can he do something like that. Not only did he do that. He searched my sons apt.
He found empty bags of heroin. Told my son to move out. He said his son is in jail and uses heroin. I say hes crossed a serious boundary line. My son isn't his and he had no right to go to his job or thru his drawers.
I spoke to him and told him he betrayed the rules of AA. My son is wrong using. I know this. But to jeopardize his job and give him a week to leave. My son has been doing a suboxone detox. Now doesn't feel safe sharing in his favorite meeting.

1. he needs to be accountable for his actions
2. the truth about the other party- ie landlord will get out
3. someone may be able to help him find a new place.
I told him he needs to let the meeting know in case others are trusting him.

Disappointed in this guy. Last night he came banging on his door because he had a window open. He's demanding
Him out by thurs. law here won't allow him to do that. I hope this doesn't cause him to relapse again. He's been doing ok. He sounded pretty stressed last night.
Of new projects keeping me busy. Keeping my mind off something other then addiction and my poor dog dying. Glad
To have my dog with all his familiar things out of our POD.
My son is on a better track for this week. The apt thing shook him up. We will see tomorrow what happens. Hoping the stress doesn't break him
they take some of the stress off.
my son's biggest fear was dating someone who would be turned off by his not drinking...like embarrassing him...and sure enough, it happened, and he went back to his sponsor, and they guy said 1. she was a jerk and 2. you lived through it
same with the bad landlord.
I love projects too. I crochet a lot. It's like a windshield wiper for my mind. God bless!
