It's sad to say this but woohoo,, at least you know where she is,, it may not be what you wanted,, but better then where she was( God only knows),,there is an account for receiving phone calls,, it's not cheap,, also you can put money on the commensary so she change things,, but keep in thought this is not a country club,, so don't get sucked in,, first time I did,,, visited my daughter every week put money into an account she was in for 9 months,,, thinking this is it she is going to get it,,,, well for those 9 months she did,,, it probably took 6 months until she was back out using,,, although jail is good for keeping them off the streets,, oh they become friends with people we would never think to be friends with,,,
But for now,,, you can relax knowing where she is,,,

Thanks Cardinal yes I do know were she is. I also found out I can do the phones so she can only call me and one for her dad. that's a relief.
She has not notified us she is in jail I am wondering if I should sit back and wait or go ahead a set you her accounts. I am sure right now she is so sick she doesn't care about anything.

Weird isn't it, how we as parents can be relieved when our kids get arrested.. My son was on the run for 6 months before getting arrested.. He is still currently in jail 1.5 hours from our home.. Although they don't offer "treatment", at least I know he is dried out... Maybe not "clean" cuz if he was released today, I'm not sure where he'd go first, to a rehab, or to his dealer... So sad. Will keep you in my thoughts. Peace

Sit back girl,, don't do anything until she contacts you,, quite frankly it's her RESPONSIBLITY to let you know where she is,,,remember you do not own this problem,, this is her consequences from actions she choose to do,,,don't cuddle this,,and the longer you don't get the phone call the less time she will manipulate you into getting her out. ,


So sister take this time and relax, recharge, and regroup,, for the moment enjoy the peace!

Hi and I have to agree 110% with both Kim's on this one. My son is currently in State Prison and just prior he sat in county lock up for 3 months until dust settled from all the charges. Anyway, we made sure he came to us for stuff as we considered it to be his first steps toward sobriety - we did so much for him in the years leading up to his incarceration and figured it's now his turn to take charge of his life. So take a step back - sit back and hope for the best...

Thanks everyone! The good news is I live 11 hours away from her. Her Dad lives there, he and I are very close and I follow his lead. He is a no nonsense guy and has been through this with his brother. She contacted up yesterday I only got to talk for a minute them my phone dropped the call. Her dad said he talked to her for about 3 minutes and that was all she could take. He said she was crying so hard she could not even talk. She said she never wants to see those people again, going to stay straight and never return to this place. (jail) Next time will be 6 months and she is not sure how she is going to make 20 days. This is her first time ever in trouble with the law and first time in jail. I just pray she is ready to get on the right path

What i find to be so frustrating is that our daughters seem to relish living this criminal lifestyle sneaking around, lying, cheating, stealing,
talking like some little gangbangers, but when they actually are faced with jail & having to relate to the "real" hardcore criminals, then they're scared to death & want the mommies, daddies, & grandparents that they've been abusing torunto their rescue. I am terrified of my daughter going to prison & surviving it. Who ever thinks their precious child will grow up & make choices that will put them behind bars?!!! It's just heart wrenching.
