Most of you know me and the troubles I have had with my daughter, after her last episode were her son got hurt and fell in a deprtment store, she has been behaving really well. She went into the hosital to detox off clonopin and has been off it now for about a month. Her son's ffather went to court and got temporary custody of my grandson (which I agree he should have) and I think Krista finally realizes she has got to make some major changes in her life or she will loose her custody for good. She has been looking actively for a job, sent out several reumes and heard nothing. We are only allowed by his father to see my grandson for a few hours 2 or 3 times a week, I have asked him if he can spend the night and even though I have assured him I will be here at all times he has said no. Krista is becoming more depressed and I am getting nervous. She has been handling her anxiety really well no outbursts, no fighting and I am surprised to say we have been getting along much better, no drama.
While she was in the hospital she missed an apointment with her dhs worker and they stpooed her cash assistance which is making things even more difficult for her, I have stood my ground and haven't given her any money except for a pack of cigarretts once in awhile, but it is putting a strain on me financially too, I am using more gas to pick up my grandson from daycare and doctor's appointments. Now she needs to get a lawyer for her next court apperance, which is going to be tough, I don't have the funds to help and pro bono lawyers ar all back logged with other cases. I know this is her problem but he is my grandson too and as long as Krista goes to see her doctor's, stays off the clonopin and we can get along with no drama I feel like I should try and help her if I can. I just don't want to see her slip into a more depressive state then she already is and I'm getting worried.

I can understand the baby daddy feelings,,,,, really it's been a month,,,, unfortunatly she has alot of proving that needs to be done,,, continue to encourage, embrace,, love Krista,,, but dont' give into the addicition,,,,,, Krista has to learn to stand on her own feet,,, she is very lucky to have you,,,,, shoot a home to come to,,,,, yes now things appear great,,, it's called the pink cloud moment,,,,, it's a very fragil time,,,,,
what you choose to do,,, is certainly your choice,,,,,, but reality is,,,, drugs is just a symptom of the addcition,,, and being clean,, does not mean,, not using for a month,,,,,, perhaps set time limits,,,, in three months if your still doing this well Krista,,, we will do this,,,, give them a reason to not use,,,,,
dont focus on the "problem" look at the solution,,,, she may not have the baby full time,,, but at least she is able to see him twice aweek,,,, that's still better then nothing,,,,
oh Momma it's not easy being a parent of an addicit,,,, but be blessed you have a daughter you can hug tonight,,,
I am going to visit my husband with my 2 grand daughters this weekend and I am really worried about Krista staying home with the crazy D-I-L upstairs, she likes to cause drama and if I'm not around who knows what she'll be up to.I'm trying to get Krista to stay with my sister for the weekend she's thinking about it but says she's not going to be pushed out of her house by her. I'm just going to say a prayer and try and enjoy my weekend with my husband and my girls. Whatever happens happens.
