Just got off the phone with an uncle that has been in contact with k,,, she is doing really well,,,she is working ,, rents a room from his neighbors house ,, who is a mom of adult children,,, that was raised in a home if parents who were herion addicts ,, so she takes no punches, and knows all the bullshitt lines that an addict can give,,, she goes to meetings,,,
I believe the best thing I ever did was stick to my boundaries , that Thursday 6weeks ago,,, everyday was a challenge , many tears shed, sleepless nights ,,, answering the phone , and her pleading to give her money for food ,, my reply always was constant ,,, that is she could get dope,, she was able to get food,,( those were the worst times ,,, ugh),, she may not be there yet, but she is in a better place then she was!,,,, yes I even stood up and grabbed the person that came to my house looking for money k owed ,,, he coukd not get off my porch fast enough when I was done with him,,,, of course name dropping the border patrol (my brother), and two other police officers( b-I-laws ) helped ,,, I was kind of proud of myselve,,, those kind of people are actually cowards ,,, anywhoo ,,,,, so it may not be the best news,,,, but it's the step in the right direction,,,, in time she will call me,,,
I just want to say,,, if it was not for you guys,,, I would probably be in a padded room,,,( UHm does sound good )

It's not the great update I "wanted" to post,,, but learning expectations can only be put on me,,,,, so yes one step forward !!

Katrina,, love that comment about "you had high hopes for her",, I had to finally enforce that boundary, in order for her to learn, on her own,,, has you know there were many moments,, I almost ran to her Snd saved her,, but I knew that if I continued to that,,, her chances of recovery was slim,,,
Cyndee,,, took me a long time and practice to get where I am, that Thursday 6 weeks ago, it finally occurred to me,, that I had to stand firm,, not just to my addict, but to myself the insanity if the addiction was controlling me,,,,, there were many times through out those 6weeks that I just wanted her in my arms,,, instead if the needle in hers,,, our life styl was never ever comprehensible to the life she was living on the streets, I have no desire to even analyze what she did, to get her fix ,,, one day she will have to forgive herself .
The porch scene,,, must say quite out of character of me,,, in fact complete opposite,,, I stood up to a coward, I made a commitment to myself,, that if I could stop one ugly moment,,, that was it,,,
This journey will take along time,,, there are many issues k needs to define,,, during her dark time,,,, there were some people that thought I was to harsh,,, but those they gave their opinions never walked in my shoes,,
