Know it must be difficult for you to know that she needs methadone for the baby. If she stays commuted to what her doctors say then the baby will be ok. At least she will have two clean parents who will be on the right path.
My son has a bit of a mess to clean also. He's got almost 90 days and has cleaned up a lot so far.
Sending big hugs.
Many young people screw up their credit and figure it out and repair things...like anything, it takes time.
I hope the baby's momma can have a healthy delivery, and that the baby is healthy too. God bless them all.
Just one question.... what do you think was the turning point for him?
For my son, I think it was vomiting blood and really hitting a physical and financial and spiritual bottom...living in one room in his nice apartment, surrounded by garbage, sick as a dog.... was it the baby? was it something less defined?
Blueviolet: I've asked him that. He stated even AFTER he died, got brought back, he left the hospital, used and said he had an awful dream, something he won't retell, but he said with that dream, he made a call for a ride to rehab and waited a couple days to call me, to ensure his 'mental state'. I don't know to this day what it was. Maybe a delayed reaction to dying? Maybe something in his brain that he didn't realize UNTIL he went to sleep that he must've 'remembered' or 'recounted' that 'woke him up'? He didn't know about the pregnancy at that point, didn't find out she was pregnant until after a month, it appears she conceived right after the overdose. But the baby sure does have him grinding his feet in.
Time will tell.
I will always keep faith and hope. It's really all I have. :)
