Our bodies have a way of remembering things, so when we stop an action that we would of normally did our bodies say, wait that's not right. For example, if addict goes out uses drugs, we get upset but we know they will come back. That has been the pattern over and over, so when we say enough and we change that pattern our bodies react by making us say wait, I miss him , I want him back. So we take him back and in short time we are asking ourselves why did we ever think he would change, why am I in this relationship. This cycle will continue it is just like the cycle of the addict, so unless we stop it nothing will change. This is why woman keep going back to abusive men. They keep thinking oh it will be different this time except its not.
It took my body over two years to get pass the extreme depression and ups and downs. I found it was much better to have no contact, maybe someday but for now I have no contact so I can heal.

If you think you should let go you should. But if there is a lingering doubt that you shouldn't maybe you shouldn't. Love him through this. Maybe send ur kids to grandparents house for a long durration so that you can establish a healthy household again before you bring them back, that might mean just you and your kids or it could be all of you. I know it's so hard to be where you're at, but it'll get better you just have to take the actions to make it better. I don't know you but know I love you and I'm here for you I'm sending you strength and positive thoughts and support in whatever you do. I was like that last week.....my husband would say....whats wrong???...im getting better???...i just don't know how, but i get thinking of all the good times and how great they were and compare them to today and it makes me cry....how a little pill can change the lives of people....i go and walk it off it makes me feel better...you have to find something that makes you happy to be able to separate

I had a bad day too. My friend is now at home safe with her kids. Now she has a new addiction, another new guy. Said she would call me but didnt. My husband is still upset. Sorry Mackbaby for your pain. It is almost like a true physical pain.

I agree with katrinka, its alot easier to have no contact, I just left my boyfriend not long ago, and trust me this is not the first time I have left, but the last time I kept contact with him, I feel its easier just not to talk to eachother at least yet because when I do it just makes it that much harder. Trust me things get easier in time and if you go back, you will eventually get to the point like I did where you have just had enough... I'm not gonna lie and say I'm completely okay with my decision to leave, but it hasn't been long and i'm already a happier person. I know its hard to let go but sometimes the hardest decisions in life turn out to be the best ones.. You never know how strong you are till being strong is your only option.
