You have all been such an amazing support, and I have been super blessed to call you friends!
I was a strict mom about table manners, and I helped the kids color their hair whatever they wanted. I can't wait to get my first tattoo. I am a thyroid cancer survivor, 5 years. I used to shoot shotguns at clay pigeons. I was vegitarian for 25 years, but now eat some chicken and fish because my husband loves to cook and he is a meat eater. Housekeeping is easier since no one lives here anymore. I do not drink, because I like to too much. I love yoga, walks and I have seasonal affective disorder and take lexapro for that. I am not afraid to get dirty or work hard, but no more pulling toilets- I will pay someone. My husband retires soon and I do worry about money. who doesn't
I love this site, I learn so much and I think it shows us all caring about each other, even if we disagree.
This really helped. It reminded me of who I am. Thank you.
I also have two cats and a golden retriever. As much as I say "no more" to the pets, I find myself looking at the golden retriever rescue sites every few weeks and almost volunteered a few days ago to raising a guide dog puppy.
I'm a CPA and work in university administration. I don't have a lot of spare time between my job and taking care of the house, the laundry, the bills, groceries, pets, etc. However, my husband and I enjoy cooking together and trying new recipes. One of the projects I'm working on is to collect all of our favorite recipes into a family cookbook. My other big project is "clutter busting", taking one room at a time and cleaning out all of the junk. We're also finishing our basement and re-painting the rest of the house.
With all that's going on in our lives, we don't really have much time left for fun, but we make a point of going out to dinner once a week, when I will have my one glass of white wine. We also love sports and make a point of watching most Packer games and Wisconsin Badger football and basketball, whenever we can. I also truly enjoy getting together with my Dad and my siblings (I'm the oldest of 6 kids).
I am very spiritual, I am typical A personality need everything impeccable, neat and have to be in control! Ok let me be honest i am completely anal retentive. So imagine how well that has worked out with my addict son? But I am learning everyday and embrace all the new lessons.
I thank everyone here for all of their support and for making me stronger, wiser and giving me wings when I am grounded. I'm am so thankful for god bringing you to me.
