I agree, we all must say a prayer. I will never understand how anyone could hurt another, but especially when it comes to children. My prayers to everyone who has been effected by this tragedy.

I have driven thru there, on my way to my folks, and it is a lovely area. Sad, tragic, scary...I can't even express how low I felt today. I have to say that I was glad so many reporters, officals and the president all cried.

My heart has been heavy all day today, so sad! I'm praying for all the victims and their families.

Thank you for posting this, marg6300. Since I heard the news, I have hugged my daughters and sent them love and prayers. It's just that ... I did the same with Columbine, and on 9/11, and with the countless times men kill their wives and girlfriends (-pick up any newspaper in America on ANY day, and there will be a story about a man killing his wife or girlfriend).... it is getting so hard to hug your way through. There is a mental health crisis in America. I pray that the mental health professionals step up and give us some answers, concrete helpful answers, action answers, very soon.

Srahdawn You are sooo right. I am heartbroken for those little angels stolen from their families.... I can't even imagine what those poor parents are going through. The question is what could have been done to prevent such a tragedy? If anything at all. I guess we may never know. Prayers that they get through this somehow someday.

I turn on the news at any given time all weekend, and these precious little faces come on my screen, along with the courageous teachers. My heart is so sad for these families, and also the family of the shooter. We truly need to come together, and do something about Mental illness, that effects so many young people. My prayers are with each family member.

Mental health as an illness has historically and unfortunately been pushed asided, covered up and ignored by society for too many hundreds of years. I heard a local reporter say the shooter was possibly suffering from MH issues but that's been pushed aside for a bigger and more controversial issue - gun control! It's all you hear about and again the root of the problem is buried under the rug. I truly wish the powers that be in Washington would wake up and smell the coffee, fight for MH reform and deal with it so no more innocent lives have to suffer because my heart is breaking into tiny little pieces for all those families ):

Yes, it sure put things in perspective for me. I am just sick over the tragic events in Connecticut. I cant even imagine what their loved ones are going through. I will continue to pray for them and for there to be no more violence. God Bless everyone.

I am on a news fast. I can't take the repeated wringing of my heart.
I go to Goodnews network and read some of theirs.
Being bombarded is going to be bad for me. I will continue to pray for them all, but I can't see all those crying people, little faces, and not let it get me too far down in the dumps.

Have you ever done a news fast? I have. everything is still there when you get back to it. But if you need a break...try it.

i find myself so sad for all the victims....i believe even the shooter was a victim of something...and his mom...why do i always hurt for the moms....she probably did everything she could to help her son....but made some mistakes in the process.....sad for the brother of the shooter, sad for the father of the shooter....so many unanswered questions spinning in my head, mental health, antipyschotics, antidepressants, guns....such a tragedy. praying that the truth will come out and be told so history doesn't continue to repeat itself with school shootings

Matt. 19:14...a very comforting verse. as all these beautiful angels are with Jesus now..I m sad for their parents and relatives during the very tragic time...I look at their little faces and it is beyond sad..Read this morning about Victor Cruz visited little Jack's family..God bless him..my prayers go out to all the families of all these innocent angels...
