Both of my ex's were addicts. This morning as I was coming back in from shopping, I looked down at the clock in my car (my new car). It was 6:15 a.m. If I were still living with my crackhead ex he would have called me around 2 a.m. to pick him up from some crackhouse. And then we would have spent 2 or 3 hours while he said he owed some guy money and they would kill him if he didn't pay him back. Around 6 a.m. we would get home and start the argument about him wanting a six pack to "come down". Around 10 or 11 a.m. we would finally fall asleep. And another Saturday would be ruined. Today, I got up at 4:30....ate, went and got my groceries already and am back home. Not dealing with a crackhead. I have money in my pocket...and most of my paycheck still in the bank. And what I spent went for good, healthy food...not drugs.

I don't have to look around and wonder what the heck am I doing with this man and will it ever stop?

I still love him. Don't get me wrong. But I love ME more!!!
