first off,,I want to apologize, for my last post,,, my intentions were not to stir up a heated debate,,,
Truthfully,,,, if we all step back, does it really matter,,, how, when or what, made our love ones choice that first pill, drink that one shot, shoot up that one fix of herion,,, smoke that one joint,, at the end of the day,,, one is to many,, and the second is not enough, the life of an addict is dark, selfish,lack of respect, the only need is the next one,,, the life of a love one of an addicit, is heartbreaking,,, frusturating,, angry,,,regardless of what path we choose for comfort is really all that matters,,,,, How it started is the past,,, we cant go back and change what is already done,,, we can only move forward,, if it's God, 12 step program,,, stastics,,,, which ever leads us into a place of tranquility,,,, the fact is,,, we all say never give up hope,,,,and all of us have use that word,,, although you can not actually see hope,,, its something we believe in,, which leads to faith,, which leads to a high power,,( mine is God),,, personnally my daughter,,, was brought up with both parents,,, 3 siblings,,,, I sacaraficed the big house,, designer lable clothes,,, and the escalate to drive( ug,,that was the hard one), and the vacation to disney world,,,, but hey thats okay,,,, why,, cause you get what you get,,, and dont throw a fret,( that was Ava line) to be a stay at home mom,,,, really in a sense my kids never appeared to lack anything,,,, I must say of done crazy things,,,, when they all became lazy and watched tv,, and played that stupid viedo game,,, I must say I pulled the fuse on the tv,, for 24 hrs,,, were they mad,, a little,,,, but the memory of all of us playing a good old fashion board game at the table,, priceless!!!,,, we are not the " peter Pan perfect family",,,, I will admit I have a few budlights,,, maybe glass a whine at dinner,,,, does it make it a criteria for addiciton,, or why my daughter choice that path,, no,,,, I'm an adult,,, I've also shown her,,,,, the sacrifices,, without complaing about them,,, how every function she was in,,, we attended,,, we provided at warm loving home,,, I'm baffled,,,,
In the world we live,, its very diverse,,, I"ve tried very hard to push my opionion that addicition is a disease,, even persented facts,, power points, as well as my heart wrenching experince,,, there are some that just dont agree with me,,,( one is a family memeber, and one is a best friend),,,, I have to accept their opinnions,,, just like there are things I don't agree with,,, I have a hard time with understanding how the same sex have a relationship,, or the view our president has,,, I'm all about owning a gun,, Ive educated, my children on the dangers of what you could do,, to make that gun go off,,, many peopl would disagree with me,,, I'll be honest,, my six year old,, has held a gun,, knows, what the power is of it,,,, does it make her a killer one day,,, NO,,,,, I will tell you,,, my six year old has respect,,,,,, she knows never to point it at someone,, that it's not a toy,,,,,
there are no right or wrong answers,,,,, regardless of where or what,, or how our cherished ones became addicited is pointless,,, how,, and what,, they do to recover,, and the bondage of the addicition is broken is most important,,,,,,,
I do believe and stand firm,,, in my opinionn,, that I can not control, nor cure, or am the cause of ,,,, I'm sure in some situations there is a finger to point,,, but not all situations are the same,,, truthfully,, that's why I alway get a second opinnion,,, not all statistic are completly what I want to hear,, just like I believe in God,,, that when we depart this earth,, we have a mansion in Heaven waiting for me,,,,,
the pointing the figers at who's fault it is,,,, determins the addiciton wins,,,coming together, standing strong, giving adivice,,, sharing life expericenes is what becomes priceless,,,,,,, Progres is moving forward,, not standing and continuing to dwell on the past,,,, this is a fact,,,,Once today, becomes yesterda,, it's no longer tomorrow,, therefore it's done,,,,, tomorrow is a new day,,, and therefore that is the hope,, we believe in that gives us the faith,, to move forward

i agree cardinal....it just is what it is...we can't look back .....and try to figure it all out...that will drive us crazy. love all the support here on the boards and love each one here. you have all helped me sooooo much on this journey. we are a strong group who feels each others hurts cause we have been there. may we continue to be there for each other...and never let the addiction win....there is always hope...one day at a time.

I agree with you too cardinal and jainior I agree with you also, it is what it is and e can't go back, how I wish we could sometimes, I think I would have done so many things differently. I'm not saying the out come would have been different but I would have done thins differently. Things are different now that's all that matters, there is always hope , one day at a time.
