Just updating you on mom. She is a year and 1 month clean!! Crazy the last time she went to rehab I didn't even take her seriously. I had given up on her. Glad that didn't deter her. When she got out of rehab she moved to a small town . She know lives in an apartment with mostly retired or disabled people. They cook and talk all day. Best move she ever made. Please continue to pray for her and I will do the same for you guys and your family that she is able to cope with increased stress that is coming her way lately.

What kind of support is she getting now? any meetings or church or anything with a counselor?
you know the longer she goes the better her chances of staying sober....she knows what to do to stay well. I am very happy to hear another success story.

She goes to church some. She doesn't have a car anymore. We didn't rush to get her another one after she lost the other one. At first it was a measure to make it harder to get drugs now for me its just not financially possible. We go see her about 2 or 3 times a month and talk everyday. She feels meeting aren't good for her because everytime she went she would meet another addict and at first they would do good and then eventually relapse together.

Wow, that's wonderful news! I'm so glad you didn't give up on her--as hard as I'm sure that was. But I'll definitely be praying that she'll be able to stay clean and she'll have lots of support as she begins this new life. Keep us posted on how she does...
