Can you get narcam certified where you are. Sad as it is I carried two shots of it for an OD
Most importantly please don't give up hope. He needs to know someone believes he can do this.
One bag is all he needs for it to be lethal. I have lived this life with two sons for 20 years. One is being released from jail after five years in three weeks. My feeling is he will use again within a week. The other is in long inpatient treatment. About 60 days
Clean now. That's a record for him and he said the same
Exact things you wrote about your son.
Please I'm begging you do whatever you have to. Message me if you want.
They got him detoxed (alcohol) and sent him to a homeless shelter with "outpatient" programs and then he got sent to a rehab.
wasn't there anyone at his program trying to get him medicaid? how about a social worker at the hospital?
Good news is that he is tired of living this way, so maybe changes will come out of this.
my kid is a felon too...after he got sober, he got a job cleaning toilets for a company, and worked his way up and now runs one of their branches...so he still can succeed in life.
Tell him to get help or get out. Medicaid. Yes like Blue said...the program's arrange that. If he has any form of private cancel it.
Keep calling 911. Tell them if they release him and not send him to detox it's on them if he dies. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't accept no. It's the hospital or police easy way out. They don't care if a "junkie" dies. It's our child we love not theirs. Make noise. And don't worry if he hates you. Mind told me he will never speak to me again after filing a protective order and having him arrested. I didn't care if he lived. Now we are getting so close. Fight for that boy. He needs you
Long term out patient to me is a waste. They need long term inpatient. At his age he needs peers to relate to and to re learn a healthy lifestyle. He needs away from people places and things.
The other thing that struck me reading this again is he's begging for help. He says the four bags are nothing he's done more. He's telling you that so you force him to get clean.
My son explains the detoxing as like having the flu 100 times worse. Most in his rehab say they kept using to avoid the withdrawals.
I swear I cried over your post twice in reading it twice. I so feel your pain and fear. You are not alone in this. I pray for you both. I pray for all our loved ones that they get well.
The felony charge pending....call the DA. Tell them he's an addict. Beg them to put that as part of a plea deal long term. Then the state picks it up. Tell them what you are going thru. They will tell you not their problem. Don't accept that. Call his attorney. I assume legal aid. They try and fight for the best deal for "their" clients. So they will fight against you. Don't accept that. Keep calling that DA. I did that. First they refused. We emailed the judge so many times. They got tired and made him go "voluntarily". Hope some of this helps
