I think you need to establish boundaries, especially NOT always picking up the phone. Also, would you feel safe with him knowing where you live? I would be worried he could randomly show up on your doorstep, or may try to gain access for items to pawn. I had to eliminate contact with my Mom, and I moved 30 miles away. I did not give her my address in fear of her showing up.

Do I feel badly? Not really, how cold huh? Not really. HE has chosen this life style. HE has rehab at his fingertips, only HE can make the choice to get better and work on his on rehabilitation.
We are about 200 miles from where he is at.
As sad as it is, I'm hoping that NOT allowing him here, it will be a 'goal' for him to get himself in rehab, get his life in order so he CAN see us again. I've told him basically that until he gets his life together, we will not see him. THAT was a hard line to draw but I did it.
If I could punch Heroin in the face and beat the crap out of it, I would do just that, for stealing my beautiful boy.
Sadly, once you lose someones trust, it's hard to get back.
