You learn to think like a criminal to do normal stuff for inmates when they are the ones in jail...how to sneak more info in, or I used to send books...thru amazon...you can't give a book at the desk, it has to be sent from a company...so send him a good book -about addiction...and he can donate it when he leaves so that the next guy can read it.
Makes me remember this crap. makes me sick.
If someone is ready to change, they won't care about the finer details of the rehab/other option they are choosing. I have made a decision to get help with my addiction (overcaring) - I'm not thrilled about some of the finer details of my chosen option, but I tolerate them because I am desperate to heal. That's the difference between someone who has hit rock bottom and someone who is still trying to negotiate their way out of rock bottom.
If he is genuine about rehab, he will let you know. Otherwise just keep sticking to your guns, keep reaching out for help for YOU.
