I've been off this page for a year or two. I needed to stop focusing on the addictive behaviors of AH and start looking for more positive things. During this time AH managed to keep things to a dull roar most of the time and I started to build myself a satisfying life of my own in spite of him. But his slight behavior changes for the positive
Lulled me into false optimism and I find myself orbiting around his pills and vodka again, and addictions are escalating to a new and frightening place.
So here I am: setting some goals:
To " let it go "
To let go of guilt and fear
To realize that after 20 years of trying I CANNOT SAVE HIM.
To focus on healing myself, and continue to pursue my own choices.
The love and support of this group saved my life when at my lowest!!!!
