I am scared to right this post but I am going to do it because its what is happening....
my son has been clean for almost 40 days now, he is going to three, three hour therapy classes per week. He is taking thorazine and a few other meds to control his anxiety. He is talking to a physiatrist once a week and he is doing all of this to stay off drugs and change his life. He had been counting on his new physiatrist prescribing him a benzo and she refused and he threatened to relapse if she did not give it to him. She held strong and asked my advice and I said no NO Benzos. And guess what?? He did not relapse. He was pissed but we have been talking it through every day and he is hanging on.... every day he makes it through another day and I'm just so grateful and hopeful and he is finally opening up and changing and I'm scared to say out loud that he is doing better but he is!! so for today I want to acknowledge it and say it out loud my son is a tiny bit better and I am filled with hope......
