My son starts his detox for heroin tomorrow and then on Wednesday he will enter his 30 day residential program and after that he will be going to a sober living environment. Please pray that he can make it thru all of this and stay clean I love him so much and I want him to be ok. This has been such a nightmare for my husband and I dealing with all of this , but we have supported him these last couple of weeks because he said he wants help and I don't mean supported his habit I mean we supported him with love. I hope this doesn't sound terrible but I can't wait until he enters his 30 day residential so we can get our life back and have some peace around our house. Anyway thanks for listening you guys are really wonderful!!

I will pray for him and for you. I hope that you and your husband are able to relax and regroup. Letting go and letting God makes so much sense but it's so hard... May peace be with you.

I understand that a medical detox is much better than it used to be. I completely understand about wanting to get back to your own life. knowing where he is, and under supervision and safe...such a relief.
I will say a prayer for him, and you. This is a very good thing.

You and your family will be in my prayers. Remember one day at a time, don't think or look to far ahead be thankful for each clean day. Learn all you can and remember you can not do this only he can. God bless

TLC ~ Will definitely pray for your son, and for you guys. Watching our kids become someone that we don't even know is such a painful thing. Hope he gets the best of treatment. Kim (my son 20, is a heroin addict too)

Tlc,,, oh girl just enjoy the next thirty days,,, make this your time for yourself,,,, Dmatt is right,, take one day at a time,,, remember this is your son's recovery,,,, he is unfortuanatly not going to be fix,,, so please during the next 30 days,, set yourself up,,, with boundaries,, do not do for your addicit, that he can do for himself,,,

put yourself first,,,, surrender your son, to you higher power,,,, I surrendered my daughter,,, to my higher power,, which is God,,, I got a helium balloon, and put her name in it,,, and let the balloon go rising into the sky,,,, asking God to take over,,,, it was the most peacfull thing I did,,,

you will be just fine,,, walk forward, one step at a time,,, plan for tomorrow,, but don't worry about it,,
