Ok,, here goes gonna give you a cardinal pep talk,,, first of all,, your paying her bills,, why?, second do you honestly think telling the dopeman to stop giving her credit really matters to him, quite frankly they are laughing behind your back,, what you do is look the dopeman in the eyes tell him to go eff himself, and you would gladly go to the police and let them know that they keep extending her credit line on garbage,,, by doing all your doing for your mom,, is keeping the addiction alive,, your feeding into it,,, instead of threatening her about going to a homeless shelter,, drive her there,, open the door and drive away,, until the addiction becomes worse then the pleasure of the drug,, why would she stop,,, all it takes is a phone call and you all are jumping through hoops,, you guys are all running crazy, while she gets to get high and enjoy life,, when she is coming down looking for her next fix,, all she does is make a phone call,,, and how can she afford the phone,, how does she have a way to collect her goods, shoot she is still eatting steak and lobster,, and the rest of us are eatting the left overs,,,, what you all need to do us get I the same page,, and support her sobriety instead of supporting her drug addiction,,, trust me I'm not saying anything I have not done or been through,, my addict is my daughter., and nothing is harder then not jumping to her,, that child I gave birth to,,,, I had to hit rock bottom to realize how insane I was becoming keeping her addiction alive , when I was thinking I was keeping her safe,,, tough love does not mean to stop loving or turn your back on them,, it means you Love them so much,, your no longer going to be part of their addiction

Insanity is;,, continuing to do the sane thing over and over and d or ting different results,,,,

Don't give up,, just stop giving in,, you want to save your mom,,, let her realize she needs to save herself

I think I might have to change my phone # & tell other family members to do the same. How horrible to put someone 8 months pregnant through that worry!! So sorry for your heartache.........I understand the pain. The insanity won't stop until you cut ties with her & family members follow suit. Warmest wishes & hugs to you.

I wouldn't talk to any dealers either.....she's really putting you in harm's way!!!!

Thanks Carinal and GMaWilli. I know all I have done in the past is make things worse. When I would pay them she would go into rehab for me. It never worked because she was never serious. It was only to get them paid. This time I won't pay a bill nor will I pay a dealer. I am nervous everytime I go to her house. When I visit I pick her up and we ride somewhere. She is always saying she wants to pay them because she don't want them to hurt us and sometimes I do worry about this. These people know us. We grew up in this neighborhood and went to school with some of these people. I worked so hard not to be a victim of my up bringing and to make sure my kids never had to see that and for what. We may not live there but we are going through the same BS.

I truly am far from a confronter ,, I'm not a fighter and by no means to I suggest what I did( not sure what made me stand up to the dope man), but actually they are the most stupid, scarey- cats I've ever met ,,, well at least the big man( at least he thought he was) that came to my house, making demands that I pay my addicts so credit he gave her,,, hello stupid,, I grabbed him by the throat, looked him in the eye,, and in a very calm voice gave him some advice,, that if he thinks he is getting one penny from me,, he thought wrong,, held my hand tighter and said you have 10 sec to get off my porch and into your car,,, I'm a mother bomb ready to explode,, if you choose to come back,,, I have my ccw liscense and will not hesitate to target practice on you,,, he could not run fast enough,,, and I closed the door and crude my eyes out,, calked my husband and he probably coukd of killed me at the moment if he was close enough to me,,, my point,,, if you give into the dopeman they come back again and again,,, if your known as the crazy mom,,, they are afraid,,,, so don't let one scare you,,, you be the giant ,,,, girl I got you covered!!!
