I believe it's time for my parents to take control over my brother's baby.
He's back to using, back to the g/f, back to the house the social services found unsuitable for the baby.
He's now saying they are going to move in with a friend of the g/f, at an area notorious for drug and human trafficking. This area is a gypsy ghetto. It's a scary place no one dares go through.
For all we know, the baby hasn't been taken to the hospital yet, according to doctor's orders.
My brother stopped going to the outpatient. He's asking again for money, disappears for a couple of weeks in the sense that he doesn't call or pick up the phone and when he decides to call, he's acting crazy.
My parents have to go to the D.A. and file a report against that woman and my brother, so as for the D.A. to order the social services to check on the couple and the baby.
Two reports have allready been given to the D.A. from the social services, but to no avail.
My mother is ready to make the step, I think. My dad, he's so broken hearted and scared of what my brother might do to himself [he's threatened with suicide in the past], that he feels stuck.
I've talked to them about the pros of having that baby removed from there but for my dad, it seems it's way too hard to give his son over to the law.
Any ideas on how to convince my father about going to the DA?
I trully believe that this baby is in danger.. So is my brother. We know the g/f is involved in things that could send her to prison.
As far as myself is concerned, I'm struggling to make it through the day at work...

Your dad is heart broken, but there is nothing he can do at this point. Only thing he can do is give son no money and no financial help at all.
I hope baby gets into a safe home soon.

Your brother is on a path that only has three destinations: cleaned up, locked up, or covered up. Doing nothing makes getting cleaned up less likely. He will either end up in prison on his own or "covered up" (dead of an overdose). Your brother has left your parents with no choice. If he has to go to jail, that could lead to him getting clean. If not, then at least he's safe and can't overdose.
