DepressedRecluse
Thurs.7/12 - Today is not a good day...i don't feel well...but it is my own fault...for the last week I've woken up with a stress headache...i did today and it's still there...my day is disrupted by my husband being home...and tomorrow my son comes home from youth camp...I checked my BP and it's elevated...so I called to make an appt to see the dr but I got frustrated because they put me on hold...I was on hold for twenty minutes before I just hung up...maybe I'll try again later...of course, I need to start taking my meds...i stopped taking them about two weeks ago and now I'm back to not feeling well...anyway...I am just wasting away...I have millions of things to do...but I don't have any motivation or energy...the only thing I am looking forward to is my recovery meetings...UGH...I am just rambling again, like I always do...I think I'll go take a nap now and see if my headache will go away...talk to you later, DS.

As I read your post I really felt for you because I know what it's like to deal with stress and the stress headaches it comes with. I've had migraines since as far back as I can remember when I was barely 4 years old. They can get pretty severe. When I am under a good deal of stress I can literally be debilitated from the severity and frequency. I am 6 months into my 3rd pregnancy. Some pregnant women that suffer from migraines find that they decrease with pregnancy horomones but a small percentage of migraine sufferers actually have siginificant increases during pregnancy. I happen to fall into that category. I've had issues with headaches and with pregnancy induced hypertension with my pregnancies. Sometimes the headaches can last for 2-3 weeks at a time. It is very hard to deal with because I have other children at home I need to be able to care for, so I don't get the time to rest off any headaches. I do have a suggestion for you that I hope you find helpful. A little over a month ago I found myself in and out of the ER twice in 2 weeks with severe migraines, my doctors told me they'd exhausted all medicines that are safe during pregnancy and that they were limited on doing any tests that require radiation because of my baby. In a moment of desperation I went to a health food store and told them all my extreme headache and fatigue symptoms. I was basically sleeping 10 hours a night and waking up more tired than I went to bed the night before. The gentlemen I disgust my symptoms with suggested I could have a magnesium deficiency. He explained how with magnesium being even slightly off you can sleep an entire night but just on the surface and not the deep sleep your body needs to feel rested. He also explained how it can trigger headaches or make people with migraines prone to more frequent headaches. I've been taking a magnesium supplement 3 x's a day. It is organic and completely natural. It comes in powder form and you mix the recommended dose in your water and drink it. It comes in a few different flavors and plain as well. My headaches have decreased in severity and frequency significantly. Of course I did call my OB and tell them I was planning to start using it and got their approval first since I am pregnant. I suggest if you decide to try it that you also run it by your doctor first. Another thing I wanted to mension, I had preeclampsie with my last baby because of my high blood pressure. Thankfully at my last OB visit my doctor said my blood pressure was awesome and had been gradually getting better. I did get online and do some research and found out that natural magnesium supplements are actually good for a number of different bodily functions, including blood pressure and cardio-vascular health. Sorry my reply to you is so long and drawn out but I really felt a need to share because I've been where you are. I know magnesium is not going to make the stressful problems in your life disappear but I'm hoping it will help with some of your symptoms. It sucks watching life pass you by and being too tired and having too much pain to participate. I hope you find this helpful.
