went and visited my beautiful daughter today,,,, just breaks my heart that I can't physically touch her,,,, although I guess I'm lucky I can hear her voice,,, could be worse,,,,,,, even though i surrendered her to God,,, just praying, she excepts Him,,,, there are moments, when not sure she is getting it,,, she sings praise that she has not used, now for 36 days,,, and I sit and look in her eyes,,, and tell her how proud,,,, but then I get in the car,,,, and cry,,, yea she has not used,,,, cause she can't,,,, she is beginning to get that "tough" skin on,, being in jail,,, hopefully she keeps her mouth shut,,, and just follow the rules in there,, other wise,, I'm thinking she will get her butt kicked,,, never ever would I think she would be like this,,,, she was such a girlie,,, girl,,,, ugh,,, sorry,,,,, honestly I sit and write this,,, thinking out loud,,, am I ready for her to come out,, not so sure,,, do I think the first thing she would do,, is find that "demon" her love,,, thinking she would,, but guess I just have to let it go.. for those reading till the end,,,, thanks !
Think positive and except you have done all you could for her. Its her life and you cannot stop her from ruining it.
I hope while she is in there she is getting real help, some cognitive behavior therapy so when she is release she has a better chance on how to handle psychological cravings part of addiction.
I think if we could we would lock our addicted love ones away to protect them from themselves. We could visit when we wanted to and know they we safe.
