Happy New Years to all of you! We have all of our children living at home for the next month and it is total CHAOS at our house! My daughter and her husband and baby moved back and we are delighted but they have to stay with us for a month and it is going to be crowded. Justin is already on the couch. But I am very blessed to have all of them alive and well and under one roof so I know I must not complain!!!!
I worry a fair amount that all this family will stress Justin but so far he is hangig in there and seems to enjoy the chaos. He mentioned Sunday morning that he had some cravings but they passed (thank God!) So he is talking about it which is new and good. I am going out tonight with my hubby to visit some good friends and again I worry about Justin relapsing. He mentioned that new years is the number one day of the year for relapse. UGG! I should stay home but I really need to get out of my house. The grandson is two and wide open!! Mama needs a lil break... I think with the holidays and everyone partying and all the alcohol commercials it is very hard for addicts but I am praying Justin keeps hanging in there. He was 90 days clean and sober on Christmas day and we are so proud of him. Huge accomplishment for my boy!!
anyway Just wanted to wish all Y'all a Happy New Year!

Anyhoo,,, momma you go out and enjoy yourself,,, if Justin was going to use would not matter if you stayed home or not,, part of his recovery is knowing, finding, and working the urges,,, part of your recovery is letting go,,,, smothering is not mothering,,,,
