you have every right to be angry and scared. Your situation sounds awful.
Now, with all his using, I am assuming that you have a job. you have two kids to look after, and your family is nearby.
you need to decide what is right for you as far as the baby. I am pro choice, and I know that with you already having two babies, you know what you will be doing. BUT make sure it is not a revenge move and only a choice of survival for the two kids you already have.
as for him? his family? good to take a break, and he would have to be sober quite a while to be let back in this time around. You are going to have a lot of work to do together on trust.
the insanity of addiction is usually mostly on the addict, and then what it does to the family. Your situation is complicated more by an equally or even more sick and insane mil. she is not part, she sounds like half.
At my son's rehab, there was a mom there who would go out to buy crack for her son, because she didn't want him to go to those bad places (he was 30) and the leader of the group said to her "well make sure you buy a coffin and put it in your living room, because you are loving him to death"...I remember being shocked...but it was my first time at a rehab...now? I think she was just stating the truth.
Sorry you are going through all this, and I hope we can be of some help to you. as I said to our other new member, there are books etc.listed up on top of the page...but you sound like you have it pretty much sorted out.
prepare for the worst and hope for the best....and take care of yourself first. then your two kids you already have. the rest is for you to decide. I wish you very well. I wish you peace. I admire you being strong.
And I would block the mil's phone. she does seem to thrive on drama. I am thinking vengeful, awful thoughts about her...like having the cops raid her house for drugs...but don't go there....keep your karma good. (but if I am thinking badly about her, you must be, right?)
I hope we can be of support to you.
