I will be sending kisses to you in Heaven on this day from Oregon. Bless you sweet girl. Kim Palmer
On my journey through life I was lead to this wonderful little place, that not many will ever have to visit. While I was here I met a women so full of life, so full of love, someone who was a ray of hope and determined to always hold a light and a hand to lead your home. That women, is your mom. I came to know another beautiful, loving, young women that shared a common thread not just with my son, but with so many others and that my darling girl is you. Each night before I lay my head to rest you were in my heart and in my prayers, you have become a part of my life that has given me the courage to use my voice to never let your passing go in vain. I will be sending kisses to heaven from my beach in New Jersey, and in honor of you on November 2, 2014 I will be running for Kaitlin in the NYC Marathon. Bless you beautiful Kaitlin and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life. Dee Mattos
I have never met any of you personally but through the online site I feel like we are forever connected through the struggles of addiction. you see my son too struggled with addiction and no one understands like this group online. I too have shared the victories and struggles with your mom. you see a mom is always thinking of her child, her son or her daughter no matter where they are. We need to make tough choices, because of our strong love for all of our children. your mom loved you and shared how proud she was of you and how much she hated what the drugs did to you. when I saw your photos for the first time I remember thinking what a beautiful beautiful girl. And I resolved again to keep fighting the war on drugs. I prayed for you and prayed for you. When your mom shared that you were safely in jail, I prayed again like never before that you would be set free, that this would be the time. And when I found out the news I cried tears for a family I have never met in person at the loss of their beautiful daughter and sister and mother. Then I realized God had answered my prayers in a different way, but He did answer. He did set Katelin free from her pain and suffering forever! But I will continue to pray for those left behind. Rest in peace beautiful Katelin.
I, too have never met you or your amazing mom, and yet I learned so much from her journals about your struggles, and from her constant support and love for our little group.
Your mom's love for you had no conditions and no boundaries. Now, you are at peace in heaven, and I know that you will live forever in the hearts of your family, especially your mom and your precious daughter. God Bless you!

Such a beauty...and what a beautiful and talented, smart young lady you created! How loved you are, by your family, daughter, and all of us here on DS. We know how strong you were, and how hard you worked and struggled. You never gave up. Your fight was an inspiration to all of us. There is no way your legacy will be lost. Your daughter, your life, are lights in the darkeness. Your gift of life was too short, but your life touched all of our hearts. I believe you are soaring free with angels, and you know, even still, how much you are loved. Peace and freedom to you, and Peace and love to your adoring family.
They say that good things comes from bad and given the circumstances for Kim's presence here on DS I can see why this is true. You see Katelin like so many others here online, your mom was there for me when my world fell apart due to my son's addiction issues. With a loving heart she grabbed my hand, and through her gift of kindness and wisdom counseled and encouraged, became a friend and gave me the hard truth when I needed it most - basically saving me from myself. For me there is no greater gift and I am eternally grateful. From across the miles wishing your entire family God's peace & comfort in the days ahead. Cyndee.
Your mother and I connected during one of the darkest times of my life. Her enduring spirit, love for you, your family, and your Ava is what sustained me. It gave me something to live for, when i thought that i would suffocate in my own grief. Her deep wisdom, and unrelenting willingness to share that wisdom is what makes her so special.
In honor of you, my status will forever remain "trying to keep my lipstick on". It is one of your Mother's pieces of wisdom that, to this day, gets me up during down times. Now that you are with the Angels, and our Lord, may you be in eternal peace. Love, Miranda
