She was a heavy pot user & drinker when I was young---thank God I didn't live with her. (Just had to visit on weekends until I was about 14) She then sprialed into cocaine, then eventually crack. All along the way she's had boyfriends (and more recently a late -second-husband) who all leeched off of her. She's addicted to shopping. But not high end shopping. Dollar store crap and ANYTHING on sale. She owns about 200 pairs of shoes---sickening. Now she's become addicted to medical procedures. She's always calling to tell me about the latest body part that needs to be sliced, scanned, biopsied or prodded. She is toxic to me. She drains me of my energy & if I let her she would drain me of my money---that stopped a long time ago. anybody else out there dealing with toxic addicts that you love but need to keep at arms length for sanity purposes?
