You already know....he won't change things unless he wants to.
I wouldn't expect a thing from him.
I bet that him having to come to the house to see his kid makes the new woman as mad as a hornet. Could you have him see her somewhere else?
There may be no solution for this other than to take care of yourself and your kids. First and foremost, that is the best thing you can do.
There are times when you place no expectations on anyone,, and then your never let down ,,, really you can only expectations on yourself,, it's called self control
In order to live in peace,,, only you can create peace
My ex went to prison from 10-2002 to July 2012. He's been out a year & i was actually STUPID ENOUGH to think/hope he might actually have changed for the better, would want to live a sober life after being in prison for nearly 10 years, might actually have learned his lesson & come out with words of wisdom for my 2, now adult addicted kids. Oh,he has all kinds of advice, but is right back into his own addictions, and continues to be of NO HELP WHATSOEVER. I was a single parent when he was in prison & fully expect to remain a single parent forever. I resent him for the genes he passed on (not really fair, but it's me geing honest & i punish myself for my own part in letting that ever happen to start with) , & for the frimes he committed that destroyed our family & statistically set our kids up for failure. I'm glad he lives 7 hours away, although when I'm dealing with my kids' addiction issues, I wish it was HIM experiencing the suffering instead of me.
