Please tell me that I am not the crazy one. He is making me feel like it.
I told him this morning that my girlfriend invited me and the kids down to the shore for the night. We are going to leave early Wednesday evening, make it to the Fireman's carnival, go to the beach on Thursday and come home on Thursday evening.
I get a text from him late this afternoon that says "Should I be worried about you leaving and going to a singles function that specializes in divorced women who want to meet firemen?"
I respond "What are you talking about?" I am going to the Firemen's carnival.
He responds the easy answer to the question was no.
Then we go down a rabbit hole and both come up in different places, further apart than when we went down.

He can't make you feel anything that you don't want to feel. Don't bother engaging in a situation like this. Something that crazy and insulting doesn't deserve an answer. I'd come up with a canned response for stuff like this and keep repeating it.
