While I don't post on here much I want you all to know what amazing strength you have all offered to me. It has been a difficult few years, and it took me far too long to find this site!
I am sure you don't recall my entire story, but my 22 yo son is a Heroin addict (it still numbs me to say that!); however he has been in treatment / sober living for almost 10 months now. I am thankful that he is clean and sober! He is coming home for Thanksgiving (for a few nights) and this is his first visit home during that entire time (he lives out of town). We are ALL so looking forward to his visit. Our son especially seems excited to come home and hang with us:) Hoping for a good visit.
I mostly wanted to share our good news with you all. I also want to offer hope and optimism to you friends / family / moms that arent in this spot on this most terrible journey that we are traveling. Our addicts can choose to ask for help, work on recevery, and live a sober life!!! Be strong, hopeful, and healthy!!!
