This is the big test for him, taking control, screwing up. God, don't they screw up..but it is all those little things, tickets, running out of groceries, etc, that teach them how to be the adults we so want them to be.
I still wish I lived closer to the kids, but one is in NY and the other in Nashville...so I guess that won't happen.
You know, the older they get, the wiser we are! (they finally realize it).
enjoy the privacy and peace...I want to live closer, but never again WITH the kids. one day, you will feel that way too. So nice you guys talk so often. Hugs Momma!
Of course your nervous,, your watching your baby boy,,taking control over his life, doing what he is suppose to do,, well for sure now he has to be held accountable for his actions,,, dee if he is going to use,,, it does not matter where he lives,,, part of recovery is learning to cope with life,,,, three cheers momma !

Our older son moved out a few months ago, and I think he truly enjoys having us over for a drink, it's actually rather cute and we always have a nice time. You will grow to love living apart!
