Lesson learned for your sister, and that's okay we all make these mistakes hoping the addict really means what they say. I use to tell myself that is the disease and keep on doing what I knew was best for me.

Maybe your sister felt obligated to give you mother the money for some reason. Dealers usually threaten their "clients" when they owe them money. I know out here they have people who will go and shoot the person who didn't pay.

And your mom may never change. It's sad but true. Unless she willingly decides to go to rehab, or unless she gets arrested for something and then is forced into rehab. My dad got arrested (thank goodness!) And they are forcing him to go straight to rehab after his sentence is over.

This was her last stray. She doesn't deal much with my mom and has been trying to mend their broken relationship. Mom didn't raise her, my grandparents did. She doesn't realize she had it good. Mom is determined to die alone.

I am sorry for you pain. I won't tell you to not give up hoping, it won't mean anything. Just try to distance yourself emotionally from things you cannot control. You don't know what the future holds. Take care of yourself!
