Its good to hear that!!

I absolutely understand. I am dealing with a dry drunk that is slowly remembering that he loves me. It is good to realize that I can be patient and caring because loving someone is not about just giving up on them. I am able to live my life in a positive happy way whether the alcoholic is drinking or not. I can really say I am living this just for today.
I am happy for you. I know it means so much....those little things.

I am so happy for you...My youngest son is making sure he thanks me for the little things now and that he sincerely appreciates it. I have to drive him to work and pick him up because of his seisures...He makes a point to thank me every day...He contributes funds for bills now without hesitation...A year ago this would not be the case. When he talks to me about his past friends that are still addicted to Oxys...He thanks me with tears in his eyes...for my support...He says he could have never done it alone. Whew what a wild ride it has been.

Yay! It is huge hon! He is taking steps to help you trust again.
my son has been home (December) and has been doing well... We have reinstated his cell phone line (hesitantly , cuz he's had phones taken into evidence) but he always checks in with me now... Gives us hope...

Without hope, we have nothing... and for Bec that is one of the greatest posts I have read the fact is because of you and your help and support to your son you have actually given life to him twice...
