Family members react to the addicted person with particular behavioral...
I work out of state for over 2 weeks twice a year, we have a laundry shute...(shoot!)
guess how high the laundry was piled in the basement after all that time?
He is NOT the addict.
He just does not do laundry.
I literally think he would either bring it ALL to the dry cleaners, or buy new.
Thanks for the laugh this morning!!!
And he does not pick up dog poop in the house. One of the dogs got sick last night, and he yelled up to me this morning while I was still in bed....so I could get up and go pick it up. I guess it is all my professional training at the SPCA, huh? ;)
Sorry I needed to vent.
On Saturday it was raining all day so the kids were couped up and crazy....my husband took over the "playroom" so he could watch tv, for about 5 hours! So the kids were on top of me, literally the entire time, I got nothing accomplished and was exhausted anyway....at one point they went in to the "playroom" for about 5 minutes and he stormed upstairs to the bedroom because he needed a break...seriously!?!?!?!?
growing up, his mom, in london, always did the trash....they did the recycling the old fashion way with the rag and bone man....selling bits to various guys...and it was her household money...he was never allowed to touch it! So in my house, my dad brought the cans way up the road to the street to be picked up...funny how we were both so "set in our ways!"
I am very tired of the olympics, the sports shows about the olympics and all the hype and negativity about these poor kids who made it to the olympics and get trash talked by some jerk behind a desk....that is on at my house this week. (venting is so much fun!_)
"I will look in the lock box" I answer (first mistake). Not there. the old one, not the new one...Sh*t!
Not in the top little dresser drawers, not in the bottom junk draw. SH*T!!
Where could it be? I go tell him he has to search his office....as I do, I pass by the little box he throws his watch and change into every day...and there, under all the useless crap from his pockets is his passport...sitting there for a year? more?
He says :"what's the matter with you?"
SH*T!
gotta laugh.
I decided, during the ugly years of addiction, that he is just one of those people that holds everyone around him to extremely high standards, but holds himself to nothing...and since he has set the bar so low for himself, he never feels as though he has done anything wrong.
And now the cleaning rant has circled back to selfish addict behavior. :(
So, I go and look in the drawer where the rest of the manuals are and lo and behold..THE DISHWASHER MANUAL!
Then I start wondering how he even saw the error code since he never washes dishes LOL!!
