For all the newbies ,,, some of us have been where you are, we by no means have the answers, but we have experienced it ,, pay attention to blue, dmatt, dee, Palmer, bahguy, jms these are the ones,,, that showed me the walk ,,, educate yourself ,, the mind of Ian addict,,, is actually fascinating, learn boundaries,,,denial is only a lie,, enabling is no different then the dealer selling the drug to our love ones,,, the difference they get paid,,,, detachment, does not mean give up, it allows you to seperate from the addict,,, and continue to love the person,,, addicts are still humans, it's their disease that turns them into strangers,,,,put yourself first,,,learn the difference between not using and clean ,,,, addiction is a disease of the mind body and soul, addict does not want this lifestyle ,,, but they do have the choice to use, or seek help,,,,
There is nothing you can do for the addict,,, it's ok to say no,
All about being part of the support team
Do Not become consumed with the addict, because it will then become your addiction
I follow the 12 step it's what walks me through my own recovery from my addict,,,,,, first step,, I am powerless
