just havin g a moment,,,,, talked to kate lawyer,,, he is a court apponted,, let me tell you,, this man is totally awesome,, he has so much compassion for me,,, come on,, he does not have to do what he does,, calls me and lets me know what's going on,, knowing that I can't see her,, he let's me know what's going on,,, even though she is a "Adult" which so by the way so sick of hearing that term!,,,, so right now,, is it possible to want to strangle my daughter, and hug her at the same time?!?!?!?,,,she has court on monday,, for sentencing of her first time in jail,,, and when they let her off on personnel bond,,, uhm... did she show up to probation,,, oh no.. did she drop,,, once,, and then took off on a two week binge,,,, so... puts herself in rehap,, (first rehab we made her),, so I'm thinking,, this might be it,,,, goes into three quarter home,,, cause the last time she came out of rehap,, she just could not pull it together,, we were the "bad" ones,,, so while in the three quarter home,she got there friday,,, called me on a sunday, at work,, (I work in a resturant) asked if she could come get some money,, cause she needs assentials,,, told her that no I would not hand her money,, however when I get off work, would be more then happy to take her shopping, to get whatever she needs,, just call me at 3:00, cause I have no way of contacting her, since we stopped her phone,,,,,, never heard from her,, until thursday,, when a bailbonds man called and asked if he could assist me,,, I kinda of laughed,, well she got arrested for stealing,,,, I told Mr bailbonds man, that sure he could help,,,, tell my darling daughter to find a different hobbie,, obvioulsly "stealing" is not working for her,, anyhoo,, so she is back in jail,, swears she was not using,, just needed money,,, uhm,,,,so,,,, she sits,,,, breaks my heart,, I do accept her calls,, just for my peace of mind,, just to hear her voice,,,, never in a million years would I think this all together , beautiful, girl be sitting in a jail cell,,,, so just wanted to vent,,,, did go to a meeting last night,,,,,, just to let you all know,,, I'm a very up-beat, spirtiual person.. not to brag, but people love to be around me,,, I can always find a silver linning in any situation,,, but right now,, I feel like i'm in this tunnel,, and keep trying to find my way out!,,, thanks if you all made it this far,,,,
well...hopefully she is learning not to like jail.
she is safe, sober and if she wants, probably able to go to meetings.
Everybody gets their batteries worn out. It is exhausting to love an addict.
I have a statue of a hand, it is actually a buddha thing, but I put my hand on that hand and I have been on my knees begging God to take over for me because I just couldn't do it anymore.
We have been there. And it is worse at christmas time, although I must say I thought it sucked in the nicer weather too, when my kid couldn't get outside. The whole thing sucked.
But one day, after another arrest in a different state, and probation, my kid got sober. So, there is hope.
and I will say a prayer for you tonight. and for her. Hugs and pats gently on your back to say "it will be ok" and I hope that it is.
